Oh Madeline Schmadeline, thank goodness you passed us by with nary a trace.  So now we wait for Lester who looks like he’ll do the same.  I sure hope he keeps on that path…that’s right Lester, you keep doing what Dione Warwick sang – just “walk on by”…or blow on by.  In the meantime, we’ll keep making our music for ya and here is where you’ll find Phil & Angela Benoit this week:

Friday, September 2 at ‘AMI ‘AMI BAR & GRILL at the Maui Coast Hotel in Kihei from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Sunday, September 4 at PITA PARADISE in Wailea from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Tuesday, September 6 at MERRIMAN’S KAPALUA from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

We will not be at ‘AMI ‘AMI BAR & GRILL on Saturday, September 3 – catch you back there next week.

One last thing – our brother, jazz pianist David Benoit has an Indiegogo campaign for his “Symphonic Sounds of Montalvo” EP.  Today is the last day to back his campaign.  On behalf of David, thank you to all who backed him.  Here’s a link with more info on this wonderful project:   http://igg.me/at/david-benoit-symphonic-sounds-montalvo

Have a great Labor Day weekend everyone!  Those of us here in Lester’s path will be keeping our eyes out for him and hope for the best.

The Falling Seeds

The Falling Seeds

P. S.  All is calm this morning in Makawao.  This time of year the seeds from our neighbors’ Norfolk pine trees lining one side of our property blow into our yard and on to our deck.   Here’s a shot of the deck with just a smattering of these seeds.  In a few hours the deck will be covered with them.  It’s a lesson in futility to sweep them up because as soon as you do, a breeze – even the slightest one – will sprinkle a new blanket of them down again.  Well at least they don’t smell and they make a nice “pattering” sound as they hit the deck boards.  Trying to stay positive here.  🙂
