Timber!

Timber!

P. S.  It’s hurricane season for us Islanders.  “Lane” came and went – thank goodness we were very fortunate here on Maui and continue to send our aloha to those who are still recovering from the effects of Lane on the Big Island and Kauai.  We also continue to send our aloha the most unfortunate ones here on the west side of Maui who lost their homes as a result of the brush fires that happened during the weekend of Lane’s appearance.  “Norman” and “Olivia” are on their way (I like the way the hurricanes have human names, it’s like we’re expecting a visit from a friend) and we hope they’ll stay far west from us like Lane did.   We didn’t have any unusual happenings here at our house. No river coursing through our yard.  Phil discovered that one of the neighbors’ Cook Pine trees fell onto our fence.  Luckily, it wasn’t too severe and he was able to repair the fence easily.  Here’s a shot of Phil with the 8’+ tall tree.
