P. S.  Here’s a picture taken earlier this year in February (you can see Phil directly above David).  Phil & I had the great honor and thrill to play with brother David Benoit and the fabulous Maui Pops Orchestra at their Winter Pops concert.  David conducted the MPO with songs celebrating American music (Bernstein, Copland, Williams, Mancini, Gershwin, Evans) in the first half and then conducted and played with them his compositions.  Phil was on guitar and I got to sing a few of David’s tunes from his “Two In Love” release.  It was a memorable time indeed and big mahalo to Lorne Direnfeld for the photo.
